	LISD Hosts Inaugural Strategic Design Community Showcase On May 9, Lewisville ISD (LISD) community members were invited into many classrooms at Lewisville High School (LHS) – which several LISD schools took over – to see first-hand how campuses are implementing LISD’s Strategic Design initiative in classrooms.
	LISD Communications Survey Every parent has a voice in LISD's mission to design and implement a learning organization the provides engaging innovative experiences every day. We are asking for your feedback in how you would like to receive communication from your student's campus and the district.
	Registration for 2013-2014 School Year This is a reminder to all students NEW to LISD, including new Kindergarteners to complete Online Registration at http://enroll.lisd.net. To finish the process, bring the appropriate documentation; student's original birth certificate and Social Security Card, parent identification, immunization records, and proof of residency (gas, water or electric bill). There will be a few additional forms to fill out as well.
	Spanish Immersion Video Parents of Spanish Immersion students may view this video to get a sneak peek at some of the Spanish phrases they will be using in the program.
	Give 'em $5 In an effort to assist the West community, which was devastated by an explosion at a fertilizer plant last week, Lewisville ISD (LISD) has launched a "Give 'em $5" campaign asking staff, parents and students to donate $5 to help West ISD and first-responders' families who suffered a loss due to the explosion.

	Save the Planet Club Wins Award The Wellington Elementary Save the Planet Club received the LISD Environmental Participation Award for their efforts in helping care for our planet! Congratulations!!
	Rocket Man Visits Wellington As part of National Engineers Week, Wellington Elementary (Wellington) parent and Lockheed Martin engineer Allan Baker spent an entire day visiting with fourth- and fifth-grade students to teach them about what it takes to become an engineer.
