Open House is coming soon! We'll be changing our routine on Open House a bit this year. Some of our families have shared over the years that it's difficult to get to all of the classrooms when you have multiple students. Additionally, we all know what our parking situation is like when we have school wide events! We're hoping to accommodate you a little better with that dilemma this year. PK, K, 1st, and 2nd will have Open House on Thurs. Mar. 5th from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will have Open House from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
We're asking that you NOT wander down to the older grades if you arrive early or simply finish quickly with the lower grades! Please wait until 6:00.
Our teachers are likely to still be putting the finishing touches on the room (and themselves!) and won't be ready for you until that time. Thanks!
Wellington students take you on a virtual tour of the campus.
Please be aware that LISD is monitoring the weather carefully. However, the Wellington office will not know about an early release before the official announcement by the district is made. It is not a campus decision but a district-wide one. For the most up to date information, refer to lisd.net.
Check out the profile about Wellington Elementary Principal Dr. Robin Macke, who discusses her favorite thing about her job; what she enjoys doing in her spare time; and gives some advice to someone who is interested in becoming a principal.
Lewisville ISD (LISD)’s online registration for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students new to LISD begins Monday, Feb. 9, 2015.
We want to take time to remind parents that Lewisville ISD (LISD) is constantly monitoring inclement weather situations. In the event of bad weather, we must consider the safety of all 53,000 students in our 127-square mile district when making decisions about school closures. LISD administrators will determine school cancellations based on the safety of all students district-wide.
LISD's Board of Trustees announced the list of attributes that resulted from public input sessions, focus group sessions and an online survey. Executive search firm Ray and Associates engaged LISD’s staff and community in discussions of important characteristics for potential candidates, as well as suggestions for screening and interview questions. The outreach process concluded on Jan. 29.
Lewisville ISD (LISD)’s Board of Trustees invites all parents and community members to participate in community input forums to share their thoughts regarding desired qualities in LISD’s new superintendent. Four English-only forums and one Spanish-only forum will be available. All forums will be led by executive search firm Ray and Associates. Please see below for the community input forum dates and locations.
